This sweet and sour red cabbage makes an easy side dish for any German meal.
1/2 Red cabbage, large
vinegar
2-3 Bay leaves
10 Coriander seeds
Black pepper
salt
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Butter
Slice cabbage finely ounce you have discarded outer tough leaves.
Boil with a few bay leaves and coriader seeds until tender. Discard bay leaves and coriander seeds, strain. Sauté in pot with butter. Add salt and pepper. Add vinegar and sugar to taste.
